½ marathon

Yesterday I was running a half marathon (21,1 km.) in Haderslev in the southern Denmark. I had trained a bit up to it, but I think I will train more to next year. My time was 2 hours 51 minuttes and 37 seconds. I was running with my roomie Ida, and we had a fantastic support from my mom, dad and sister, who were out on the route clapping of us and giving us candy when we had run about 16 km. My bag and hip still hurt a bit, but it's a good feeling to have after running 21,1 km. :D

Ape ôf Neptune

I've just been to a fantastic concert on my school with Ape ôf Neptune. I've never heard of them before and that a shame because they rock. I will definitely begin to some of their music.

My outdoor fish are back again

I have had my 23 fish in our basement at home, for the autumn, winter and some of the spring. They have now been out for a few weeks, but I finally had time this weekend to see them. Even though it’s only fish, they still make me happy when I look at them, and see how they swim. The weather was a bonus. We have had a really nice weather for some time in Denmark and I hope it has come to stay J

Second last time in outdoor recreation

Monday last week, we had our second last time in outdoor recreation, so we were climbing trees. In the beginning we were talking about spiders and bugs so I got a bit paranoid about bug. I thought I saw bugs everywhere (well, I saw a few… but hello, we were in a wood). I found a tree I liked with no branches on (equals no bugs… except flying bugs and snails and bug who could climb trees… but anyway I didn’t think of that) so I asked my teacher if there was a way I could climb the tree even though it didn’t have branches. He told me a way to climb it, but he also told that the tree was too thin to climb, so I had to find another. I found another tree (it was about a meter away… right next to my first tree). I climbed about three meters up in it, but then I saw a snail on the trunk, so I couldn’t move higher. I was sitting there shifting sitting in my climbing harness and sitting on my feet. I sat there between 30 minutes and an hour (I didn’t have a watch with me). Then I after some time got tired in my leg I climbed down and bicycled back to the school.

Outdoor recreation trip

In outdoor recreation, we decided to make a trip to a beach and make a bonfire and sleep in tents. We have planned to do it for some time, and “now” was the right time. The warm weather was finally coming to Denmark.
Monday the 23th of April at 16:30 we went by bikes to the beach (Gamborg Fjord…A little place in Denmark). We camped on a little “spot” of grass be the beach. I made a bonfire and the other made food. We were supposed to have wok, but there were to mush curry in the vegetable-thing, so we ended eating noodles and chicken with ketchup and marinade. It actually tasted pretty good. For dessert we made pancakes… yum yum yum. Later we were lying around the bonfire roasting marshmallows and eating chips and candy while reading funny thing from a magazine. Some were telling funny and embarrassing things they or their friends have experienced. Then the stars started to show up in the sky. We were lying for some time around the bonfire looking at stars and trying to find some constellations.
When it got later we decided to go to sleep because we had to wake up early the next day. We were sleeping 8 girls in a big “tent” (I was not exactly a tent it was more like a tippy). The two boys were sleeping in another tent, and our teacher was sleeping by himself on the beach.
I was definitely not the first… or the second… and probably not the third to fall asleep. I could hear some of the other snoring for some time, before I fell asleep. I woke up a several time during the night. At 6 o’clock we all woke up and walked up out the tent to sit around the bonfire. It was really cold. We made some pancakes and porridge for breakfast. The first plan was that we should go for a morning swim in the sea, but it was just so cold. After some time we decided to do it anyway (not all of us, but I did). It was really really cold. So we just took a quick dip, and ran back to the bonfire, to get the warmth. When we all were warm enough, we did it again. When we had the warmth, we packed up all our stuff and bicycled back to the school. I had a quick but warm shower, and went to “school”. I was so tired so I fell asleep a few times during the day and my teacher made me walk around the school.
It was a nice trip but I don’t think I would do it again.

Rugby game – European Nations Cup

Saturday the 21st of April our teacher Marie took us to see a Rugby game between Denmark and Austria. It was the European Nations Cup. We went to Odense Athletic Stadium by bus. Some of the students were painted in their heads in red and white colors (I wasn’t). It was so much more violence than I thought. They were making piles of players all the time, and sometimes they were just fighting with each other and not for the games sake (it’s first I’ve seen rugby). Even though I didn’t understand much of the game, it was funny enough to see. We (Denmark) won 28-22 against Austria J

Danish championship in drawing

In the morning Wednesday the 18th of April we went, after breakfast, by train to Horsens (a city in Jutland). We were going to battle against some other schools in a few different drawing disciplines. There were only two other schools.
We started in a workshop where we had to make spatialities out of triangles. And then make our spatialities of triangles out of foamcore/foamboard. It was actually fun. Then we all walked into another room there we had to battle. My discipline was surface tension. It is about how you place your drawings on the paper. When we had finished a battle we were rated with points. The best got 3 points, the second best got 2 points and the last got 1 point. We got 1 point the most of the times except Nathalie who got 2 points and I got 3 J. We ended on a 3rd place, but the most of still had the good mood on. When we walked away, we saw that a lot of children had been drawing on our spatialities, and it turned out really fine.
On the way back, our teacher Charlotte bought ice cream for us. I’m a bit pound of myself.

Contact-group meeting with toothpaste

Monday the 16th of April we had (as always) a contact-group meeting. Suddenly (I don’t remember why) we began to talk about how some toothpaste always comes out of the tube in stripes. We talked about a few theories and decided to make a test and see if it was lying in stripes in the tube. My “neighbor” Mathias offered his toothpaste (which was in stripes). We opened it and it was almost smashed together. Pernille (my roomie) had afterwards a lot of fun with the toothpaste.
What a fun meeting :D
but our room smelled terrible afterward...
